I do not have command over a language

 I do not have command over a language,

But I use it to give all commands the same.

I don't have enough words to craft a poem,

But I use enough to share my thoughts by name.

English is not native to me, it's true,

But it’s the bridge through which my voice breaks through.

I may not have the perfect words to say,

But what I feel, I’ll find a way.

Though my phrases sometimes falter,

In this language, I still alter,

What’s in my heart, so you can see,

The thoughts that rise, the soul of me.
